This session will feature scholarly work on the outcomes of international field placements for pre-service teachers. Presenters will share findings of a systematic literature review spanning 2014-2024 on this topic, as well as preliminary findings from a new study in progress on outcomes of an embedded international field placement in a teacher education program. Attendees will be engaged to critically evaluate research findings in relation to ongoing conversations on education abroad.
