In a rapidly evolving world, educational diplomacy is crucial for fostering mutual understanding and global collaboration. Career-integrated global learning, through internships and service projects, equips students to serve as cultural ambassadors, promoting dialogue and partnerships. This panel will explore how global programs can embed diplomatic principles, preparing students to navigate international challenges with cultural fluency, adaptability, and a commitment to collaboration.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participant will be able to understand how internships and service learning abroad can foster mutual understanding, intercultural fluency, and collaboration, contributing to the broader goals of educational diplomacy.
Upon completion, participant will be able to learn strategies for creating impactful career-integrated global learning programs, including internships and service learning, that promote equity and prepare students for success in diverse professional environments.
Upon completion, participant will be able to gain insights into overcoming barriers to participation in international internships and service learning, particularly for underrepresented and marginalized student groups.
Upon completion, participant will be able to explore methods for assessing the outcomes of career-integrated global programs on students’ intercultural competencies, career readiness, and contributions to global community engagement.
